The Little Miss Kona Coffee Scholarship Pageant was held on Sunday, Nov. 5, with talents ranging from pole fitness to archery and from vocals to refined Hula/Tahitian. Taking place at the ballrooms of King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort, this event was part of the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival. This year’s farewells from youngest to teen included Maia Kealoha, 6, the Lilo in Disney’s live action film “Lilo and Stitch”; Kawena Easley, 10, world traveler in Tahitian dance competitions; Ariani Aguilar, 11; and Taira Aoki, participant in Miss Hawaii Teen 2023. The competition for the crown was as close as a point for 3 divisions: Mini Miss Kona Coffee 2024 is Hazel Arrington, daughter of Cole Arrington and Mia Nakagawa; Little Miss Kona Coffee 2024 is Ka‘lehua Goodman, daughter of Grant Goodman and Saudia Goodman; Young Miss Kona Coffee 2024 is Haweo Easley, daughter of Michael Hartman and Tiare Easley.
